"the veterinarian is the animals lawyer"

This sentence was the very first sentence i heard when starting my studies in vet school in Budapest.
It always stuck with me, and now, over 20 years later, i still aim to improve my patients lives in every possible way.

"Do what you love and you will never have a problem with Monday!"

I have great passion for my work and i love continuous learning new things as well as teaching others.
Outside of equine dentistry and equine nutrition, i have extensive interest in the science of how horses learn and how we can train them efficiently and ethically.
A few years ago i decided to learn more about positive reinforcement training which led me to include medical training into my practice.
I love everything involving behaviour, ethology and enrichment to improve our horses lives.
The famous german comedian Loriot actually said "without pugs", but the point comes across i think. I have lived with animals , especially dogs, cats and of course horses my whole life. I cannot see life without them. Currently i only have two cats, Loki and Týr; but i have no doubt that horses will follow soon.
"A life without animals is doable but pointless" adaptation from Loriot

EDUCATION
I love to learn and like to keep an open mind. This is especially true for my field of interest. I have met and worked with many grand fellow equine dentists from all over the globe and they all have been on very different journeys to becoming professional equine dentists. Prospective veterinarians are by far not sufficiently familiarized with diseases and treatments of dental problems during their studies at university and standartized and regulated postgraduate studies are still very rare. It is up to the veterinarians themselves to seek adequate post graduate education. My training at the Academy of Equine Dentistry along with my associate years at the equine dental clinic in Gessertshausen make up for the major part of my education to become a specialized equine dental veterinarian. This journey has not stopped there though, i am constantly trying to stay informed about the latest updates in equine dentistry, as well as i am playing my part in pushing the science of equine dentistry. I also like to look into non-dentistry related areas of Equine health, like Orthopedics, Acupuncture and TCM, Equine Nutrition and especially Equine Welfare and Training. No horse is just his teeth...and i am still a Vet.
